The 2011-2012 Miss Arkansas River Scholarship Pageant will be held on ______________at the Alma Performing Arts Center in downtown Alma. Join us for an evening of entertainment and beautiful ladies.
 | Miss Arkansas River Scholarship Pageant The Miss America Pageant is a non-profit civic corporation, conducted since 1921 during the month of September in Atlantic City, NJ. The Pageant program at the Local, State, and National Levels is well organized and thoughtfully executed. It is beautifully produced by thousands of men and women who work without remunerations and give willingly of their time, talent, enthusiasm and efforts to make it all possible. They are business leaders, however, who would not become involved in presenting young women in just a "Pageant" without the knowledge that this Pageant leads to outstanding educational rewards in the form of scholarships. In accepting the responsibility of conducting the State Finals, the State Pageant organization agrees it will, in turn, enfranchise responsible organizations within its state to conduct Official Local Paeants. The young women selected by the Local Paeants are then given the opportunity to compete in the State Finals. It is for these reasons that we conduct the Miss Arkansas River Scholarship Pageant.
